I had morning show in the theater. After that flop movie I went for some shopping. And as I was around Takur region I thought of checking out the Takur Village.

I could find a wide variety of crowd on the way to Takur village. Some people sitting idley in the footpath, whereas others do works like selecting useful things from garbage. Aside from the posh south area of Mumbai all other regions are infected by Slums. The latest survey on news paper says 43% of Mumbai residents are Maharashtriants where as 57% percent majority are migrants from other states. And Maharashtriants can be proud to be the fact that 52% of Maharashtriants are living in slums. They enjoy free shelf facilities with big pipe blocks left for construction.

Can you believe! Even Mumbai has river. You should see the condition of the river water. No wonder people who are born and brought up in Mumbai have a greater attraction to Kerala green lakes.

Mumbai Corporation has started keeping the lower region of Flyover clean by maintaining one small park in there. But I could see people in gangs with beer

Out from the Eastern express highway to Takur Village the first thing I noticed is the Power supply lines for Mahindra& Mahindra. They do keep there campus clean and healthy by Littering there waste around the wall.

If you like to see the real Mumbai you should visit the markets of Mumbai. On the way I saw Takur fish market. There wasn’t anyone there other than some people cleaning the market place. But I could see the place was still hectic to stay around even after cleaning.

Bangalore is a costlier city where as Mumbai has different level of people from Slums to Villas. So do the price of things available in the market. If you come in the lower level you will get the cheapest facilities. I had one glass of Sugar cane juice for 3 rupees and had a hair cut for 15rs. I think those prices are history in Kerala.

Takur wasn’t that undeveloped region as I thought. There are small flats without parking facilities and flats with Huge Playing area which now a days builders don’t waste.

I reached Takur village junction, I could see a small junction circle with a statue in the center. People who want to study on Mumbai and the ones who like to see Mumbai should start with the slums or regions where medium level people reside because life and culture differs from one region to another. Then only you can make a comment on Mumbai.

View orginal post on World Press

A sunday walk

When you postpone things which have to be done, it never happens. That’s why I thought of having it right away when I got time. A walk on Sunday afternoon, that too in the posh area of Mumbai, is a really different experience. I started off from home at 1.00pm afternoon. The sunlight was solid that my skin felt like frying pan.
I walked till the station and saw the booking office closed. I found that they shifted the office to new building. I stood in the line and got a ticket two-way ticket to church gate. I couldn’t find much crowd as it was a Sunday afternoon. I got a seat and looked out through the window as train passed stations.
Suddenly I saw train approaching a station and I saw sea on the station side. Without a second thought I got down in the station and saw the station name. It wasn’t church gate! It was Marine Line, the station before Church gate. I took the skywalk and left the station platform. I saw an official cricket match near and I took a tree shadow and watched the match. It was Mumbai cricket club. I felt so boring as the match advanced and so I left the play ground to reach the marine lines.
I should say, if you want to see cleanest area you should visit this southern most area. It was so cleanly maintained. I walked through the marine lines watching the people came down there to relax on the week end. The road too was clean and youngsters were driving vehicles so fast. I kept on walking till I saw the end of the marine lines. Only then do I realize that there isn’t any more Mumbai down south. I took a side way and walked west.
I saw a group of people with turban and suit dancing on the road. I realized that it was a pre marriage celebration procession only when I saw the groom on a horse. I found happiness on every ones face. I continued my walk till I saw INOX Theater in a shopping mall. I checked out the movies and did and window shopping inside the mall. I didn’t realize the time flow till I felt myself hungry. I saw next Poori center and had one Sev Poori and cane juice.
I continued my walk towards the west when I found branches of almost all the banks in India. That’s how I found out I was in Nariman point, the south most region of Mumbai. I walked a bit north and till I found the multitude stream flooding towards Gate way of India. I followed them, as I reached Gate way of India I found a very big crowd of which almost 95% of them were with camera or posing for a camera. The Taj hotel looked the same even after the 26/11 attack as they renovated the external area. I could see workers still on the renovation on old Taj whereas the new Taj stood there with its tallness hitting the sky.
I had to walk back to the Church Gate station so that I could return. On the way to the station I saw people playing cricket and other games in Shivaji Park. I could feel the smell of some successful people like Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh who did the hard work that lead them to what they are now.
As I reached the station I saw the display showing a Borivali fast leaving in less than one minute. I ran into the train and took a seat. I felt so tired realizing the fact that I was walking the past 5 hours as I saw my watch ticking 5.15pm.
View it full in World press

Solution for Recession

<meta equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; <![endif]-->
In the day today life we can see people come into with big idealistic visions that will create a better world or that creates a better firm. They enjoy the goal but not the process. That’s the reason why most of them fail. The reality is that if you need true improvements you need to start achieving from very little things.

In many countries economical advancement has limitations in enhancement mainly because of this reason. Every person you meet will be having the goal to reach the success. They all have the right goal. But none of them have a silver bullet solution to solve the economical crisis. It’s because the process of achieving the goal is must more difficult compare to creating a goal or creating the process.

Many of the local business persons struggle as they need to be aware of the process in order to move on. But when a new management comes as they aren’t aware of the local process the chance for the failure is much more.

Japan comes to the top because they give the same amount of attention on the process with the goal. They really take interest in tiny things so that they achieve the goal faster.

People always advice others how to they should live and what all changes they should make to improve the life and relations better. But they aren’t aware of small things which can help rather than try living a life which a self guidance book says.

So the people should understand these and they should work hard on little things so as to achieve a better world or a better firm. They should enjoy the process with the Goal.

View this post in World Press Click here

Homosexual rights in india

Bible says “ Someone born disabled isn’t because of his/her sin or his/her parents sin, but it shows god can do things differently. “

Some one born disabled has got the same right to live a normal life as we do. So is the right of a mentally disabled person. The Constitutional rules for the disabled were so much supportive for them because the mentally disabled ones have the right to live a normal life which they think is normal if it doesn’t spoil anyone else’s freedom.

It’s the same way how freedom should be given to the homosexuals. They are born homosexual and which isn’t a sin or crime. They too have the same right for freedom a heterosexual person has. Trying to change the homosexuals to heterosexuals only discomfit them. Heterosexuals should understand the fact that, humiliation for homosexuals when forced for transformation is the same when a heterosexual person is forced to be homosexual.

It should be considered that the homosexual laws offer an attractive advertisement and encouragement for the youth to be a homosexual. But in fact it’s an encouragement only for the bisexual to select a homosexual life than heterosexual one.

Even if it has a minute effect of the society and culture, homosexuals should be supported as it’s the human right to live in his land he’s born, in the same way he is born.

You can’t change the sexual orientation of a person, as the sexual orientation is a inborn transformation. So the Christian Church should consider this careful before going against it like the way they had been against science in the past centuries.

Relational Agression

Why do relations break often? Why does the divorce rate increase day by day? Is it because of cultural invasion? or is it because of the diminution of relational values due to cultural mutation?

Many people around the globe have plight with understanding what love is. What is love actually? It’s not just an engulfing due to physical attraction. This is why love at first sight always ends up in repugnance. Emotional attraction can only be defined when there is trust. It’s like how a small baby trusts his mother. It’s the togetherness that holds a person in love even if he tries a fierce attempt to escape. It’s the inexpressible strong emotional bond that holds people, which neither has fringes nor geographical limitations.

Ancient civilisations like Harappa and Mesopotamia also had trouble with relational bindings during the times of their greatest prosperity. In olden Rome cultural mutations caused increased divorce rates. They used to say “I brought that house when so and so was my husband/wife”. They say generations learn from history. But the fact is that they don’t. They cycle the cultural mutation.

They say Indians are adopting western culture that the western countries are repudiating. Cultural invasion is definitely happening and it can be seen that it is cultural mutation that caused relational aggression in ancient civilisations. If you look back, having even an asexual relation before marriage wasn’t acceptable for Indians. Now people have transformed and are accepting any kind of relationships before marriage. We are not far away for a generation who treats sexual relationship before marriage casually. It will be said that it is getting into our culture like cancer from western culture. But the true reason is cultural mutation.

As culture migrates through its cycle, many renowned people always try telling everyone to look back and see how history was. But majority of them do not turn back. Even people who glance back move on pretending that they don’t understand entirely.

This ends up in counsellors giving up with their advices.

And people throw away relationships expecting a better one to turn up!

But……………………

“No matter how difficult things are, giving up isn’t the answer!!! “

What’s Happening To This World

Last Week Rashid asked me a question “Why????????? Whoever you talk to, whomever you contact, in whichever part of this world, all they have to say is that “life is just moving on; nothing special; and yea, it’s boring!!” – What’s happening to this world??

Now I have an answer for this. This problem has mainly two reasons. The first one I see is that usually people ask the question, “How are you” just as a conversational starting bit and I guess the right answer for this question is “There is nothing special”. The older generation had a solution for this. They ask “how are you” and the reply would be “I’m fine. Thank you. And how are you?” I think people should practice a little more the usage of phrases like “I’m Fine”.

The second and more important reason for this is that the expectation level of all normal people, especially the working youth, about their life has grown so high. No one around the globe, including multibillionaires, is able to achieve it. This upward spiraling level of expectations could be caused by the media, particularly their advertisements, by the illusions of the movie sets, and the numerous inspirational write-ups that raise false hopes.
When I asked George Aimer of the UK about this problem, he told me, “This is an interesting case!! Lots of the younger people around globe say that they are bored. Yet there is more to do now than at any other time in history. Perhaps there is too much choice for everyone and they all think their life would be better if they were elsewhere. Methinks advertisements, movies and television plus the internet, although great inventions, wrestle with our minds creating unrest at times.

People often ask me for my suggestions and any silver bullet solution for this. I must say the solution for this would be the volunteered acceptance of life as it is, and loving the way life goes on. People should learn how to live in low profile. They need to understand that every Warren Buffet had a bad time back in his younger days.

So, lets cheer ourselves and answer, “My life is rocking the way it is” when someone asks us, “How is life moving along?”.

What do you think?

See the post in World press
